| Wow, a full length blog!
My life has been slightly crazy as of late. But mostly in good ways.
I'm extremely busy, always. I'm alone a lot, but I'm also surrounded
by people a lot. It's usually one or the other. I'm going to be an
"adult" in a little less than two months. I'm going to college in a
little over ten. And I may very well be traveling across the country
all summer.
I made lead tenor sax in the all region jazz band this saturday, so
that will be fun. I also felt like my recording for state auditions
went really well...but there is a lot of competition for all-state
jazz, so the chances of anything coming of that are slim. I really
want to make all-state this year. I'm working like crazy on those
stupid etudes. I'm also learning to play the baritone - not baritone
saxophone, just baritone. I'm going to audition for Crossmen in
November - a Division I Drum & Bugle Corps. Said audition will
determine whether I will, as I mentioned above, or will not be
traveling across the country all summer. If I make it, I will move in
for spring training at the end of may, learn drill and music for a
couple of weeks, then begin a national tour of performances and
competitions. It would be an awesome opportunity and a major challenge
both musically and physically.
I am going to be an uncle again!
I found out on Sunday that my sister, Kristin, is pregnant with her 2nd
child. That's pretty stinking awesome - except that the baby will be
expected next summer, while I may be on tour with Crossmen :( but
that's okay. Kristin and Ryan(her husband) crack me up. Most people
either try to have kids or try not to have kids, but they're just
like...."whatever....if i get pregnant that's cool...and if not that's
cool too"...lol. Kristin, you rock my socks off.
Well I suppose that is all for now. Adios! | | |
